Washing Crystals

The Crystal Washer runs a stream of liquid nitrogen over the sample to dislodge surface ice. 

The Crystal Washer is can be activated by clicking the 'Wash Crystal' button on the Hardware tab of the 'Tools' perspective (blue box below). If the washer hasn't been used for a few hours and no liquid nitrogen is observed during the first wash, please try a second time. If it still isn't working, please let your local contact know during working hours.
