I03 is one of five macromolecular crystallography (MX) beamlines at Diamond. I03 is a tuneable beamline with a working wavelength range of 0.6 - 2.48 Å. The standard working wavelength is 0.976 Å (12.7 keV) with a focused beam size of 90 x 30 um (FWHM). As with all the MX beamlines, I03 uses SPINE standard pins and Unipucks for cryo-cooled samples.
I03 can provide containment measures for experiments involving biological agents in Hazard Groups 2 and 3.
New sample centring options, read about the changes here (scroll down).
I03 and I04 are equipped with Eiger2 XE 16M detectors - collect at up to 560 Hz!
Beamline workstations have been upgraded to RedHat 7, more info here
Latest generation Eiger2 X 16M detector on I03. More information here.
The SmarGon is back from repair, but still has "issues". The chi angle can be changed, but the crystal will need to be re-centred after changing it. The phi rotation is currently unavailable.
New robot dewar installed - now holds 37 puck, 592 samples.
We will be barcoding pucks from April 2017 onwards.
Data reprocessing now available in ISPyB. See here
New remote access connection available
Go to GDA - Messages- Beamline notes to read the message of the day. Click here for more.
Loan pucks available upon request, check here
Test your network connection to Diamond with our SpeedTest
Remote access available on all MX beamlines at all times since January 2013
