Acknowledging MX beamlines

We request that use of beamlines is acknowledged as follows:

  1. For datasets directly contributing to the structure determination, the beamline used to collect the dataset is to be specified in the manuscript, e.g. the Methods section or the data collection table.

Naturally, we request this courtesy be extended to all synchrotrons used for the publication.

  1. Furthermore, we request that all beamlines used in the project are explicitly acknowledged in the Acknowledgement section;  this includes not only datasets, but also where significant crystal screening was performed, in particular such that helped improve crystal quality, or first identified marginal diffraction.  An example would be:
"The authors would like to thank Diamond Light
Source for beamtime (proposal mx442), and the
staff of beamlines I02, I03 and I24 for assistance
with crystal testing and data collection."
