We would like to invite you to the next instalment of our new webinar series, a Live Family Webinar on ‘Saving the Mary Rose’ on Wednesday 3rd June at 1:30pm. Everyone is welcome to tune in as this webinar is specifically aimed at a general audience and no previous knowledge is required. As always you will get the opportunity to ask our experts any questions you might have. You can catch up with our previous webinars on our website here.
**This week we will explore the work Diamond is doing to help to preserve the Mary Rose, a warship from King Henry VIII’s navy that after 437 years on the seabed was returned to the surface in 1982. Join us on Wednesday to discover how chemistry plays a crucial role in successfully conserving this important glimpse into the past.**
We will begin with a short introduction from David Price, then we will hear from Eleanor Schofield, Head of Conservation and Collections Care at the Mary Rose Trust, to explore how science and conservation work hand in hand. We will then answer any questions you or your family may have about the conservation of the Mary Rose and the role Diamond has played in this. David and Amy from our Public Engagement team will also be on hand as usual to answer any other questions about Diamond itself.
Tune in on Wednesday via Zoom (please note: questions will be submitted via the ‘Q & A’ function and all attendees will be automatically muted on joining). To receive the joining link please register for the webinar via the link below. Once registered you will receive an email with the joining instructions. On Wednesday all you have to do is click on the link in the email and you will be taken straight to the webinar.
