Everyone is welcome to tune in as this webinar is specifically aimed at a general audience and no previous knowledge is required. ** You’ve charged your phone but have you ever thought about charging crystals? This week we will be exploring what happens when you ‘plug’ in a crystal - using X-rays to relate changes in colour that we see on the outside to changes occurring at the atomic scale on the inside. Tune in on Wednesday to find out how we manipulate crystals and why! **
David and Amy from our Public Engagement team will be joined by Dr Lucy Saunders, a scientist working on our crystal diffraction beamline I19, who will take us through why crystals are important, how we can change their colour, and what this could mean in the future. Lucy will then answer your questions, and David and Amy will be on hand to answer any questions you have about Diamond in general.
