Required Acknowledgements and Recommendations for Co-authorship

The following acknowledgement statement must be included in all published reports:

“This work was carried out with the support of Diamond Light Source, instrument XXX (proposal XX12345)”

Acknowledgements must include EPSRC as the funder of the facility, citing grant no. EP/R042683/1.

Acknowledgements should also include facility staff at the labSAXS Facility who provided training/induction to the instrument and support with the data collection.

Co-authorship by labSAXS support staff would generally be expected for the following scenarios. First, when facility staff provided specialised know-how beyond the routine set-up of the instrument (installation of existing standard sample holders is considered routine) that was was essential for obtaining the data. A clear-cut case would be the provision of support and know-how to install a particular user set-up that would otherwise not have been realised. Second, when data analysis support was provided that was essential for interpreting the data, i.e., beyond generic support. For example, support with data reduction (e.g., transmission and background subtraction) are considered routine support, but these should nonetheless be acknowledged.

User publications

These papers are all based at least in part on data gathered on beamline labSAXS. If you have published a paper or submitted a Thesis based on data from labSAXS which doesn't appear here, please send a reference (ideally including a DOI) to us.
