Operational Modes

I22 Operational Modes

I22 operates in a number of modes each with their own special set up requirements,

  • Transmission SAXS/WAXS
  • Microfocus SAXS/WAXS
  • Grazing Incidence SAXS/WAXS
  • USAXS
  • SAXS Tensor Tomography 

In each it is usually possible to obtain complimentary WAXS data. The following pages describe the various modes of operation in more detail together with the sample environments that are available in each mode. They also give technical specifications for each mode describing the sample platform capabilities and dimensions.

These modes need to be requested at the application stage as they tend to be blocked together for scheduling purposes. Swapping between modes during an experiment is not possible
