Diamond Light Source would like to invite you to a special Live Family Webinar on How Diamond Sees Inside Things on Wednesday 29th April at 1:30pm. Everyone is welcome to tune in as this webinar is specifically aimed at a general audience and no previous physics knowledge is required. During the last webinar we discovered how the Particle Accelerator at Diamond works, and this week we will be exploring how we use the synchrotron light it produces to do world-leading science! We’ll learn all about the techniques scientists use to run their experiments in an easy and accessible way, plus give you the opportunity to ask questions. We will begin with a short talk by David Price explaining the main techniques we use, then there will be the opportunity to ask Andy Smith and Stuart Bartlett, both Beamline Scientists here at Diamond, any questions you or your family may have. David Price and Amy Griffin from our Public Engagement team will also be on hand to answer any other questions about Diamond itself.
