We would like to invite you to the next instalment of our monthly webinar series, a Live Family Webinar ‘What's your superpower? Inside Diamond's heavy duty x-ray lab, I12' on Wednesday 17th February at 16:00pm. Everyone is welcome to tune in as this webinar is specifically aimed at a general audience and no previous knowledge is required. As always you will get the opportunity to ask our experts any questions you might have. You can catch up with our previous webinars on our website here.

**This week we will be treated to a completely live (no PowerPoint!) look inside beamline I12, Diamond’s large scale imaging beamline, where we will explore the beamline itself and see real examples of the samples that have been investigated there. Beamline I12, otherwise known as JEEP (Joint Engineering, Environmental and Processing) uses high-energy X-rays that are able to see through large samples to image them, meaning that at I12 they can investigate samples that are impossible to look at using most other instruments, such as working motorbike engines, 3D printed metal parts and large rocks and fossils! Tune in on Wednesday to discover how large samples can be 3D imaged at a small scale! **

Amy and David from our Public Engagement team will be joined by Thomas Connolley, the Principal Beamline Scientist of beamline I12, who will join us from the beamline itself, guiding us around the equipment and showing us examples of experiments that have taken place there. Thomas will also answer all of your questions about imaging and the beamline itself, and Amy and David will be on hand to answer any questions you have about Diamond in general.

Tune in on Wednesday 17th February via Zoom (please note: questions can be submitted via the ‘Q & A’ function and attendees will be not be visible during the webinar). To receive the joining link please register for the webinar via the link below. Once registered you will receive an email with the joining instructions. On Wednesday all you have to do is click on the link in the email and you will be taken straight to the webinar.
