We would like to invite you to the next instalment of our new webinar series, a Live Family Webinar on ‘Diamonds at Diamond!’ on Wednesday 27th May at 1:30pm. Everyone is welcome to tune in as this webinar is specifically aimed at a general audience and no previous knowledge is required. As always you will get the opportunity to ask our experts any questions you might have. You can catch up with our previous webinars on our website here.

**This week we will delve into beamline I15 and explore how they use Diamonds (the sparkly jewel kind) at Diamond (the synchrotron) to create high pressures, and how this is used to simulate pressures found deep in the Earth.**

We will begin with a short introduction from David Price, then we will hear from Christine Beavers, Principal Beamline Scientist at I15, to explain how they use Diamonds to create high pressures, and why they would want to do this. We will then answer any questions you or your family may have about the beamline or the experiments that happen there. David and Amy from our Public Engagement team will also be on hand as usual to answer any other questions about Diamond itself.

Tune in on Wednesday via Zoom (please note: questions will be submitted via the ‘Q & A’ function and all attendees will be automatically muted on joining). To receive the joining link please register for the webinar via the link below. Once registered you will receive an email with the joining instructions. On Wednesday all you have to do is click on the link in the email and you will be taken straight to the webinar.
