Diamond Light Source would like to invite you to the next installment of our webinar series, a Live Family Webinar on Diamond’s Amazing Science – examples of experiments undertaken at Diamond on Wednesday 6th May at 1:30pm. Everyone is welcome to tune in as this webinar is specifically aimed at a general audience and no previous knowledge is required. So far in this webinar series we have explored how our particle accelerator works and how we use the light it produces to look at samples. This week we will be discovering more about the experiments that happen at Diamond, giving our favourite examples from over the years and discovering what the latest science highlights are in an easy and accessible way. As always you will get the opportunity to ask our experts any questions you might have. You can catch up with our previous webinars on our website here.

We will begin with a short talk by David Price exploring several examples of experiments at Diamond, then Veronica Celorrio, a Beamline Scientist here at Diamond, will talk us through her own favourite experiments. There will then be the opportunity to ask Veronica any questions you or your family may have about experiments. David Price and Amy Griffin from our Public Engagement team will also be on hand to answer any other questions about Diamond itself.

Tune in on Wednesday via Zoom (please note: questions will be submitted via the ‘Q & A’ function and all attendees will be automatically muted on joining). To receive the joining link please register for the webinar via the link below. Once registered you will receive an email with the joining instructions. On Wednesday all you have to do is click on the link in the email and you will be taken straight to the webinar.
