Biography

Rohum graduated with a Masters in Biochemistry and Genetics from the University of Sheffield. As part of his studies he has used HSQC NMR to check how osmolytes stabilised proteins and analysed RNA binding partners of the HNRNPU protein using eCLIP (enhanced crosslinking and immunoprecipitation).

Rohum has also done a placement with the Lister Institute of Preventive Medicine studying the effect of mitoxantrone on oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma which gave him valuable insights into cancer biology.

In his off-time, he likes to make music, do digital art, and learn how to become a cooking aficianado!
