Talos Arctica

200 kV FEG electron microscope

Image 200 kV FEG electron microscope

Designed for rapid, stable, high-resolution data collection of frozen-hydrated samples.

The Talos Arctica is equipped with:

  • autoloader system that permits loading of up to 12 specimens

  • automated data collection at liquid nitrogen temperature

  • constant-PowerTM objective lens for optimal contrast/resolution balance

  • Volta phase plate, which significantly enhances low-resolution contrast

Electron cryo-microscopy (cryo-EM) single particle and electron cryo-tomography (cryo-ET) data can be collected automatically with the Thermo Fisher Scientific Falcon lll detector using EPU and TOMO software packages.

Electron diffraction data can be collected with the Thermo Fisher Scientific CETA-D detector in a continuous mode using EPU-D software package.
