Requesting the device

The HC1 can be installed in 3 of the MX beamlines (I03, I04 or I24), as well as in one of our labs (for offline work).

If you are interested in using the HC1b device you have several options:

• You can use it as part of your allocated BAG time whenever is convenient to you
• You can use if in the laboratory whenever it is convenient for you
• You can use the device in collaboration with DLS staff
• You may even be able to use "rapid access" time if the device is available straight away

Please e-mail [email protected] to request the device. When doing so, please indicate: the location (beamline or lab), date and time required, the beamline you would be interested in using, your BAG number, and the mode of usage you would prefer.

Please CC the person responsible for organising your BAG's beamtime to avoid any confusion, as well as your local contact (if known)

If the device is free on the day and there are staff available to support you we will confirm your booking and organise the visit.
