It is possible to ship crystallisation plates to VMXm for sample preparation using the preparation tools available at the beamline. Please request this from your local contact at VMXm who will be able to arrange despatch of a plate shipping box. We currently have available 2 Thermal Shipper boxes by Crystal Positioning Systems which can hold samples at 20º C for up to 168 hours. Once you have received the box, simply pack your plates in the box and return using the standard dewar shipping method available through ISPyB.
Please ensure you have added the crystallisation plate (screen and protein sample) in your proposal ERA in UAS. Instructions to do this can be found here.

Grids prepared at your home lab can be shipped to VMXm. We recommend doing this using a commerical dry shipper system.
The beamline is also able to provide MiTeGen cryoEM pucks, shipping cane and dry shipper to users to ship samples to VMXm. Please contact a member of the VMXm team to enquire about this.
