Fixed target sample delivery is an efficent method to collect serial crrystallography at Synchrotrons and XFELs. I24 developed a fast xyz stage to collect serial data. If you are interested in using fixed target method during your own BAG beamtime, please check I24 SSX webpages.
Fixed Target data collection: from crystals to structure
Fixed target sample delivery can enable time-resolved mixing experiment as shown previously by Mehrabi et al., 2019 with the HARE setup.
We developed a similar system using the same piezoelectric injector (autodrop pipette from microdrop technologies) to eject 50-70 pL droplet of ligand/substrate onto micro-crystals sat in the chip aperture (see our pre-print).
We can probe mixing time ranging from 5ms to 10 seconds. If you are interested, please contact us for more details
Substrate delivered every other wells with interleaved control.
