Training sessions for users of the Macromolecular Crystallography (MX) beamlines.
The Diamond Light Source Macromolecular Crystallography group would like to invite both our academic and industrial users to MX beamline training sessions on the 19th and 20th February 2020.
The aim is to provide MX users with sufficient training to be able to operate any of the Diamond MX beamlines efficiently and to get the most benefit from their beamtime. The training will involve hands-on sessions on the suite of five operational MX beamlines as well as optional offline software sessions.
The MX Bag training is targeted at all users, not limited to students and post docs. It is essential that each BAG sends at least one representative per calendar yearcalendar year, so they can cascade the information to the rest of their BAG.
Welcome & Registration on 19th February, from 11 am to 11:30 am, followed by a welcome presentation and lunch.
19th February – Hands on software
20th February – Beamline sessions
Application will close at midday on Monday 27th January 2020.
All applicants will be informed about the outcome of their application shortly after.
Places are limited to 25 participants.
The attendance to this event is free-of-charge and includes a catered lunch on the 19th and 20th February, as well as accommodation and dinner for the night of the 19th February. Travelling expenses within the UK will also be provided.
