Lab 51 is a soft-matter & wet chemistry laboratory allowing visiting researchers to prepare for their experiments.
The lab contains a suite of characterisation equipment that allows detailed and complementary measurements to be made in support of user beamtime. This includes a BAM-ellipsometer, Langmuir troughs, tensiometers, a spin coater, DSC and UV-ozone cleaner. See the page on offline facilities for more information.
A probe sonicator is also available on request, as is access to equipment elsewhere at Diamond (such as microscopes, TEM, AFM etc). See the offline accsess page for a list of equipment generally available
