We are currently developing UV-Vis absorption spectroscopy instrumentation for use both offline and on the MX beamlines at Diamond. UV-Vis absorption can allow in-situ verification and tracking of changes in protonation, redox and spin states in protein crystals.
The instrumentation is currently in the final stages of commissioning and is available to users on request.
For more information about the spectroscopy setup, or to request spectroscopy beamtime, please contact Robin Owen. For both on and offline use please get in touch as far in advance as possible - this really helps with scheduling.
It is possible that more spectroscopy options will be developed in the future. If you have any ideas or requests please get in touch.
