About I14

Image

I14 is the hard X-ray nanoprobe. Using a 50 nm beam, we can map samples using X-ray fluorescence (XRF), X-ray Absorption Near-Edge Spectroscopy (XANES), phase in focus (Differential Phase Contrast, DPC) or out of focus at higher resolution (ptychography), and X-ray diffraction.

We are also able to image in liquid and gas environments using our in situ systems.

Under development we have small angle X-ray scattering (SAXS) and tomographic imaging for each technique.

Use the links on the left to find out more about I14 beamline instrumentation, and details of the beamline specifications.

The beamline team will be able to discuss your project and samples requirements: more information on the I14 Beamline Team can be found here.
