Parijat earned her Ph.D. in biophysics from the University of Calcutta, specializing in the dynamics of drug-chromatin interactions. She subsequently advanced to cryo-electron microscopy during her postdoctoral research under the mentorship of Wolfgang Baumeister at the Max Planck Institute of Biochemistry in Martinsried. In October 2023, Parijat joined eBIC as a Senior EM Scientist, where she now spearheads the development of the cryo-correlative light and electron microscopy (CLEM) pipeline.
