Welcome to DIAD

DIAD is built to be suitable for experiments, which utilize:

• time-resolved in situ measurements
• monochromatic or polychromatic (“pink beam”) X rays
• the combination of imaging and diffraction techniques in one experiment
• FOV of 1.4 mm x 1.2 mm for imaging, both monochromatic and polychromatic
• beam sizes between 13 μm x 2 μm to 50 μm x 50 μm for diffraction
• fast switching between techniques up to 10 Hz
• complex sample environments provided by users (users are welcome to bring their own sample environment for diffraction and imaging experiments)

At DIAD you can perform a range of experimental techniques:

• static and/or time-resolved radiography and tomography
• static and/or time-resolved powder diffraction using monochromatic radiation
