The teams at CCP-EM and Diamond are pleased to announce the 2026 CAHRA.
CCPEM & Diamond are happy to announce the 2026 CAHRA Workshop to be held on Wednesday 16th - 18th September 2026.
The CAHRA Review Workshop will host talks and discussion about "The Community-Wide Assessment of Cryo-EM Heterogeneous Reconstruction Algorithms (CAHRA) Challenge" and the wider subject of interpreting and reconstructing the heterogeneity present in cryo-EM datasets. This will include talks:
Talks at the workshop will be held in a hybrid manner, although please note that some speakers may request their presentation to be covered by a "No Publication Policy" similar to that used at the Gordon Research Conference - these talks will not be broadcast or recorded.
There will be ample time for in-person participants to discuss scoring metrics and challenge results, identify shortcomings of existing methods, brainstorm future metrics, explore integrative techniques and to discuss optimal representation, deposition and reuse of heterogeneous structures.

The course will be held at Diamond on the RAL campus in Harwell UK, site of the eBIC national facility on Thursday 17th September and Friday 18th September 2026. For in-person delegates, a limited numbers of rooms (free of charge, covered by DRIIMB sponsorship) are available at the Milton Hill House Hotel (MHH) on the nights of Wednesday 16th September and Thursday 17th September. This accommodation includes evening meals, breakfast and coach transport between RAL and MHH. These rooms will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis upon registration. Lunch and coffee will be provided at RAL.
