Biography
Jinseok completed his PhD at Seoul National University (Seoul, South Korea) in 2022 under the supervision of Prof. Miyoung Kim. During his PhD studies, his research was focused on the development of computational methods for transmission electron microscopy (TEM) analysis. Specifically, he developed machine-learning-based analysis methods for feature extraction in a large TEM dataset such as electron energy loss spectroscopy spectrum images and four-dimensional scanning TEM (4D-STEM) data. Prior to joining the ePSIC team, he conducted research on transition metal oxide based resistive switching materials and EELS tomography as a postdoctoral research associate (PDRA) at Research Institute of Advanced Materials, Seoul National University.
In 2024, he joined the ePSIC team as a PDRA funded by the InFUSE project and focuses on developing multi-scale characterization of various energy materials by fusing microscopy data generated by different modalities based on X-ray and electron beams.
