The Industry Team at LCV2017

On the 6th and 7th of September 2017, members of the Industrial Liaison team here at Diamond Light Source will be exhibiting at the Low Carbon Vehicle Event that will take place at Millbrook in Bedfordshire. 

The Cenex-LCV event is the UK’s premier low carbon vehicle event that incorporates a Low Carbon Vehicle Event Technology exhibition, an extensive seminar programme and ride & drive of the latest research & development and commercially available vehicles.

The Industry team will be located in Exhibition Hall 3 on stand C3-108 where we will be showcasing the infamous Lego Beamline, have a wealth of 3D videos and images for you to look at and of course be on hand to talk you through the latest automotive research and developments taking place here at the UK's national synchrotron.

Come to the stand to see the Lego beamline in action. A scale model of one of the experimental stations at Diamond Light Source, the Lego Beamline gives you the opportunity to conduct your own scientific experiement using diffraction to reveal secrets about the molecular structure of a sample.

Highlighting one of the key techniques in use here at Diamond, our stand staff will be able to talk you through one of imaging techniques: Tomography. With interactive videos, 3D printed models and the latest developments in 3D imaging, come and see how we are able to visualise the inside of automotive components and investigate the structure of a huge variety of engineering materials and processes.
