Olivia Oung

Olivia Oung is a visiting Post-Doctoral Research Scientist from Washington State University, USA. She is using electron cryo-tomography to study the organisation of photosynthetic complexes in thylakoid membranes with a specific focus on cytochrome b6f. Her research aim is to determine how the packing of photosynthetic complexes is regulated and how this relates to effective energy conversion under different growth conditions. Her supervisors are Prof Helmut Kirchhoff (WSU) and Dr Éilís Bragginton (eBIC).
