David Farmer

David is a PDRA at the electron Bio-Imaging Centre (eBIC) and joined the team in October 2020 from the University of Sheffield.

David obtained his Ph.D. at The University of Sheffield under Prof. Neil Hunter (FRS), finishing in 2019. Whilst at the University of Sheffield he used a range of biophysical techniques to investigate two enzymes involved in chlorophyll biosynthesis. During that time, David completed a 3-month internship at eBIC which enabled him to apply single particle cryo-EM to both his own work and colleagues' in the group. David continued into a 1-year post-doc with the same group which focused on his own single particle cyro-EM work as well as collaborations.
