UK School System

Full-time education is now compulsory for all children aged 5 to 18 if their parents are residents in the UK for 12 months or more.

State-funded nursery education is available from the age of 3 and may be full-time or part-time.

Vaccinations

Vaccinations needed for children attending school:

When starting school for the first time you may be asked to provide information on the vaccination your Child/Children have had. The vaccinations usually asked about are for: diphtheria, meningitis, tetanus, polio, whooping cough, and measles, mumps, and rubella (MMR). Although it’s definitely a good idea, children do not need to be vaccinated before they start school, they would still be accepted even if they had no vaccinations at all.
