Jack Pearce is a PhD Student on I10 (joint with the University of York).
Email: [email protected]Jacks research is in spintronics and magnetic materials. His PhD project studies the magnetic structure of spintronic materials and the magnetoelectric effect with an aim to understand the underlying mechanisms.
Previously completing an MPhys at York focusing on condensed matter and quantum mechanics, Jack went on to continue the Masters project into a PhD split between the University of York and Diamond Light Source.
Jack previously worked in clinical laboratories before becoming a laboratory lead for clinical trials involved in the setup and ongoing maintenance of trials.
Diamond Light Source is the UK's national synchrotron science facility, located at the Harwell Science and Innovation Campus in Oxfordshire.
