New Executive Director joins the team
In late 2014, Diamond Light Source appointed Jane Tirard as its new Director of Finance and Corporate Services. Jane takes over from Andy Akerman, who was with Diamond since 2009 and retired in late 2014. Jane's background spans both the private and public sectors, and she brings with her over 30 years of regional and global experience in business and financial management.

Staff in the spotlight: Silvia da Graça Ramos
Silvia da Graça Ramos is a Software Engineer in the Data Acquisition group at Diamond. Taking up her role early last year, Silvia’s job sees her working with a number of teams at the facility to provide software support that helps the scientists get the most out of their data and experiments.
