Professor Dave Stuart
Professor David Stuart FRS is MRC Professor of Structural Biology at the University of Oxford, and Head of the Division of Structural Biology at the Department of Clinical Medicine. He was appointed Director of Life Sciences at Diamond in 2008. His principal research interests include the structure of viruses and viral proteins as well as cellular proteins, especially those that interact with viruses.
Professor Laurent Chapon
Professor Laurent Chapon joined Diamond as Director of Physical Sciences in 2016 from the Institut Laue-Langevin (ILL) in Grenoble, where he held the position of Senior Fellow and Diffraction Group Leader for over five years. He is an expert in materials science as well as X-ray and neutron diffraction techniques, with principal interests in transmission metal oxides, frustrated oxides, and multiferroics.
Martin Walsh is Deputy Director of Life Sciences at Diamond. Martin is also a Medical Research Council (MRC) funded Research Group Leader at the Research Complex at Harwell (RCaH). He joined Diamond in January 2009 from the MRC, France.
