Rapid Access Mode provides a route for data collection on samples that are timely and of high scientific interest.
There are no longer days scheduled for rapid access, rather samples from successful rapid access proposals will be run when time permits.
For more details, please read the guidelines.
Applicants with proposals that lie outside the guidelines are encouraged to contact I19 beamline staff to discuss their requirements.
Please note, rapid access is not for large numbers of samples or lengthy experiments - these should be applied for using other access modes.
Users should not need to visit I19. Samples should be sent to Diamond where they can either be run via remote access or by I19 staff, with the results made available by remote access.
Rapid access mode is only available to academic users; industrial users should contact the Industrial Liaison Office.
Submission
Proposals should be submitted via the UAS under the category rapid access.
