Biography

I joined Diamond in June 2006 and had the chance to see the first light on I16 in November the same year! I worked on multiferroic materials, in particular the RMn2O5 series, using magnetic scattering, and on several projects making use of resonant forbidden reflections, motivated by theoretical predictions of their unusual properties, in particular their temperature dependence. I participated actively to the applications of coherent X-rays, such as X-ray Photon Correlation Spectroscopy and Coherent Diffractive Imaging, and was also involved in the development of Diffuse Multiple Scattering, a new scattering phenomenon observed almost exclusively on I16.

I left Diamond in September 2009 to join the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS) in France. I am since then based in the laboratory Science et Ingénierie des Matériaux et Procédés (SIMaP) of the Université Grenoble Alpes. My research interests still focus on the use of coherent X-rays and resonant scattering (together or independently) in particular for the study of magnetic materials. I am also involved in research activities on aperiodic materials such as quasicrystals. I am still a regular user of I16 and collaborating with my former I16 colleagues on various projects.
