Large Kirkpatrick-Baez mirror system

VFM - vertical focussing mirror, HFM - horizontal focussing mirror

The mirrors act for vertical and horizontal focusing and for rejection of high photon energies. They operate in white and monochromatic beam. The different coatings of the HFM provide a set of cut-off energies at constant reflection angle.

Key parameters

mirror length (mm) 1350
active optic length (mm) 1150
slope error (µrad) 1.0
roughness (Å) active area  <3

Small Kirkpatrick-Baez mirror system

Purpose of the secondary, micro-focusing mirrors is to provide a focal spot size of the order of 10 µm (FWHM) in monochromatic beam.
