Sample Preparation and Screening

If your organisation lacks in-house laboratories, you need extra help in sample preparation, or require access to advanced sample preparation facilities, Diamond provides comprehensive solutions. 

Our research laboratories enable you to prepare and validate samples prior to experiments, streamlining your research projects. We offer lab facilities across various science domains, including pre-screening samples, protein crystallisation, crystal harvesting, and handling, storage, and manipulation of active materials.

Data Collection

Our data collection service offers a variety of options to optimise your experiment, regardless of your experience level or the nature of your study. Our skilled specialists can either collect data on your behalf or provide one-on-one training to enhance your skills while gathering data from real samples. They also assist with experimental planning and offer ongoing technical support as needed

Contract Research

Our Contract Research model is the perfect option if you want the assurance of high quality results delivered by our experts. Once contracts have been finalised, all you need to do is provide us with your samples, define your objectives, and work with us to set the parameters for your experiment. 

Our expert scientists will then take over, designing the most effective experiment, collecting data, and completing the agreed analysis. Post-experiment, we will deliver a detailed report, along with an explanation of the findings. You will also have the opportunity to discuss any of the details with your Diamond contact whenever needed; you are also welcome to observe the experiment should you desire.

Working with us

We follow a series of 4 key steps when working with you.

Consultation

During the initial consultation, we assess your research needs and match you with a suitable advisor from the industry team. This expert will guide you through your experiment, ensuring optimal design and high-quality results.

Planning & Logistics

After contracts have been finalised we’ll schedule your experiment and provide you with clear next steps. This includes guidance on sample preparation, shipping, and accessing Diamond’s IT systems, as necessary.

3.

Your experiment

Once your samples have been received, our skilled team will ensure everything is in place for loading them onto our beamlines. We treat each experiment as if it were our own, giving you the confidence to achieve rapid and comprehensive results.

4.

Post experiment

After your experiment, the next steps depend on your chosen service level. We can either provide the data for your own analysis or analyse the data for you. This stage allows for mutual feedback and potential adjustments for any future work.
