Hazel joined the industrial liaison office in December 2021 to assist pharmaceutical companies adopt the re-emerging technique of electron cryo-microscopy in their drug discovery research. As an eBIC for Industry scientist, she supports the full discovery workflow from study design and sample optimisation, through to data collection, and structure solution.
With her previous research focusing on the structure and function of viral envelope glycoproteins and DNA binding protein, Hazel brings a wealth of protein preparation and structural biology knowledge to the team as well as experience in high-throughput discovery science gained while working at the Structural Genomics Consortium in Oxford.
