The next Inside Diamond open day will feature stalls and activities, a short introduction to Diamond and a tour of the machine. We expect the visit will last around two and a half hours. Booking for open days opens 6-8 weeks in advance of the event. Click here for more details.
Diamond Light Source is hosting the Bluesky Hackathon, for Diamond employees and staff to work on Bluesky tasks along side other facilities and developers of the Blukesky framework.
What happens?
Hackathons (also known as Coding Marathons or Code Sprints) are popular in many open source projects as a way of making progress on certain development efforts. At this Bluesky Hackathon, attendees will work on a large number of open issues in the Bluesky software collaboration, giving Diamond engineers the opportunity to become more familiar with Bluesky and foster international collaboration with NSLS-II.
Please see below a rough agenda for this event, a more detailed agenda will be added closer to the event date.
Moday 15th April | Introductions and issue assignment and beginning of work on tasks |
Tuesday 16th April - Thursday 18th April | Working through tasks and issue with support form organisers |
