MIRIAM beamline B22 at Diamond Light Source is currently commissioning its near-field IR microscope (RE-AFMIR) for research, and is calling for collaborative user proposals.
This collaborative call covers one period i.e. for beamtime within January-March 2018.
At this first stage we are offering the following experimental performances suitable for sub-micron sample feature scale:
For these experiments it is essential that users have well-characterised samples, and have discussed the science and technical aspects with beamline staff prior to submission.
Interested users should submit applications through the UAS and choose the "commissioning" access route since this is a specific call for beamtime on a new MIRIAM/B22 endstation.
All proposals will be assessed and beamtime will be granted based on scientific merit with a strong emphasis on technical feasibility and sample/substrate suitability.
The deadline for this call is 1st July 2017.
