Electrochemistry Workshop

This workshop aims to highlight the opportunities available to researchers using techniques available at synchrotron sources to study samples in electrochemical environments.

Date
02/10/20122012-10-02 - 03/10/20122012-10-03
Location
Cosenor's House, Abingdon, Oxfordshire, UK

Event details

This workshop aims to highlight the opportunities available to researchers using techniques available at synchrotron sources to study samples in electrochemical environments. This includes scattering methods to probe the structure at the electrochemical interface and spectroscopic methods to obtain chemical information of species involved in the electrochemical processes. The workshop will bring together experienced users and those with little or no synchrotron experience, to discuss how these methods could be used to address some of the current hot topics and fundamental problems in electrochemistry.

The meeting will include a number of invited presentations to stimulate discussion, together with the opportunity for all participants to highlight areas of current interest. Examples may include the ability to monitor dynamic processes, accurate structure determination or spectroscopic mapping of the sample (although any topics for discussion are welcome). The workshop will be appropriate for people at all stages of their career but is specifically aimed at experienced post-graduates, post-doctoral research associates and academic researchers.
