Versatile Soft X-ray Beamline Workshop

A workshop to discuss the proposed Versatile Soft X-ray beamline (VERSOX).

Date
08/12/20102010-12-08
Location
Diamond Light Source, Oxfordshire, UK

Funding has just been confirmed for the third tranche of beamlines (Phase 3) for Diamond and the beamline selection process is in progress. The Science Advisory Committee and Diamond directors have asked us to write a full proposal for next January for a double-branch Versatile Soft X-ray beamline (VERSOX).

To facilitate this, we are holding a workshop on the proposed beamline on 8 December 2010. Diamond will pay for the reasonable travel expenses of attendees up to £100. More may be available subject to budgetary constraints. Claim forms will be available at the meeting. The meeting will initially be limited to 40 people.

In addition to invited speakers there will be a discussion session with short presentations (5-10 min) from anyone who feels s/he can contribute to the science areas that will be enabled by the new beamline. Please send us your title and short abstract and estimated time duration you would ideally like to talk (no guarantee).

In order to attend this meeting you have to register below. Registration is free.

Support letters for the beamline need to be submitted by the 20th December 2010.
