Date
16/12/20102010-12-16
Location
Diamond Light Source, Oxfordshire, UK

This meeting provides an opportunity for the MX community to revise and submit new proposals for Phase III beamlines. Timelines are tight as very brief outline proposals have to be submitted by 20 December.

To enable the process Diamond are hosting an open meeting at Diamond on 16 December (from 11:00 to 16:00) to finalise proposals for wider circulation on the 17th, for submission on 20 December.

Three proposals relevant to MX were submitted in the first call for new ideas which can be reviewed in the links below and hopefully will spark additional interest and ideas for future beamline development:

Title of proposal Proposers
Coherent and Sub micron focus x-rays for macromolecular crystallography Colin Nave and Ian Robinson
i-plate: in-situ diffraction screening beamline Jonathan Grimes and Frank von Delft
Beamline for Advanced Structure – Function studies in Life and Physical Sciences Samar Hasnain and Arwen Pearson

Please make every effort to attend on the 16th and be prepared to assist in finalising proposals and delivering letters of support. For those of you who cannot attend, please advise in advance and be prepared to offer letters of support to initial outline proposals.

Lunch will be provided. Please register below by midday on Wednesday 8 December.

Please feel free to contact these proposers prior to the meeting to assist in developing additional proposals.

Thank you in advance.
