We are looking for a high calibre scientific programmer to join our dynamic scientific software group to lead the software support of the eBIC facility. In this they will collaborate closely with colleagues to optimize integration with the Data Acquisition framework where appropriate, and to drive forward the automation of the data analysis of the terrabytes of collected data.

You will operate as part of a small team, within the scientific software group of experienced software scientists and engineers and will work with our scientists to identify and define requirements for all elements of the eBIC analysis software pipeline. It will be your responsibility to ensure that these requirements are implemented in a timely, effective and sustainable way.

The work will also involve enhancing and supporting the core features of the Scipion Software.  Scipion is an image processing framework to obtain 3D models of macromolecular complexes using Electron Microscopy, and Diamond is currently actively participating in the collaboration.
