Scope

CORPES19 is an international workshop dedicated to recent experimental and theoretical advances in the electronic structure of strongly correlated systems and quantum materials. This workshop will bring together scientists working in the broad areas of many-body electronic structure theory and angle-resolved photoemission Spectroscopy (ARPES). The aim of the meeting is to deepen our understanding of the microscopic mechanisms underpinning the properties and functionalities of quantum materials (e.g. topological systems, 2D materials, correlated oxides, and superconductors). Recent experimental and theoretical advances in photoemission spectroscopy will also be covered. More generally, the workshop is intended to be an opportunity for the international community to discuss the most recent developments and future directions in these areas.

History of CORPES

The CORPES conference was founded 14 years ago by Prof Jörg Fink, Prof Konrad Matho and Prof Erwin Müller-Hartmann. Since then, it has been organised biennially and hosted over three continents (America, Asia and Europe).
