Using the XRM2016 App
Where do I get the app?
You can download the app from the App Store for iphones, or from the Play Store for android phones. Just search for XRM2016 in the store. The download is completely free.
What is it for?
The app serves the same function as the program volume. It lists all the science presentations happening in the week, including their times and locations and will allow you to click through from presentation title to the full abstract. It also allows you to see the exhibitors, sponsors and all the events happening during the week.
How do I see the science schedule?
Just click on Program. You can then view the programme by day, or you can view it by theme.
How do I find a specific presentation or author?
Use the search function on the home page. Click on the word 'search' and then click on the search icon. Try searching by name or by keyword, but not both together, for best results.
How do I see the abstract for a particular presentation?
You need to be connected to the internet. There are too many abstracts for the app to store them all on your phone, so it will open the abstract in a browser. Find the presentation you are looking for in the app and then click on 'view abstract' underneath the presentation details.
Take notes - You can take notes in the app at the bottom of every talk or poster. Just click through to the presentation in question and click on 'Take Notes' underneath the presentation details. To export your notes click on 'XRM2016' then click on 'My Notes'. Here you can see every presentation you've made notes on, and you can click through to read the notes. To export your notes, click on 'Email Notes' in the top right corner and send them to yourself.
