B24 is the full-field transmission microscope at Diamond designed specifically for tomographic imaging of biological specimens under near physiological conditions. Find out more.
CryoSIM
The super-resolution cryo-fluorescence microscopy module allows correlative imaging with the B24 X-ray microscope to be developed. It allows users to collect data on vitrified samples before moving them to the X-ray microscope for tomographic data aquisition.
Sample preparation equipment
Specialised equipment is available to users, to vitrify samples and examine and map grids.
Software for data processing and analysis
In-house alignment and reconstruction software is used to pull together 3D images. Thereafter, a process of segmentation enables the user to classify objects or areas of interest before doing further analysis.
