The research instruments were configured to enable a combination of techniques to take place simultaneously to gain a holistic view of palladium oxide production, using the same ‘in situ’ conditions.
Using the advanced X-ray spectroscopy techniques at Diamond allows us to understand our catalysts in ever greater detail. Combining XAS, DRIFTS and MS provided simultaneous information on catalyst structure, surface adsorbates and evolved gases.
