We are delighted to announce the launch of the Early Career Researcher Prize awarded by the Diamond Light Source and Infineum UK Ltd.
We're seeking nominations for the early career researcher who is judged to have produced the best piece of work using Diamond's facilities in a research area relevant to the automotive sector. Applications are equally welcome from academia or industry.
The prize winner will receive a cash prize of £250 and will be invited to present their work at the Illuminating Challenges in Automotive Research (iCAR 2015) conference.
Eligible candidates: PhD students, post-docs or other early career researchers (typically less than 5 years after first graduation at time of submission deadline).
Illuminating Challenges in Automotive Research (iCAR 2015) is a two day science conference being held on the 4th and 5th of November 2015 at the UK’s synchrotron facility, Diamond Light Source in partnership with Infineum UK Ltd. The conference presents an opportunity for academia and research institutions to come together with research scientists from the automotive, oil and petrochemical industries to discuss the challenges and understand how cutting edge science can provide insights and solutions to address the obstacles to greener transportation and energy production.
Diamond Light Source is the UK's national synchrotron science facility, located at the Harwell Science and Innovation Campus in Oxfordshire.
