More than ever, we see the power of collaboration leading the way in Life Sciences. Harwell Campus, where Diamond is located, has been a hub of continued activity in the fight against COVID-19, underlining the importance of the Harwell HealthTec Cluster to address common goals as a collective.
Diamond has itself been working with both industry and academic partners to understand the molecular basis of the disease and inform new treatments against the virus. Progress to date has been documented on a dedicated website which is freely available to view.
The HealthTec Cluster brings together over 40 companies and 1000 people in the Life Sciences. It draws on the diversity of expertise across the campus to deliver a range of services, from diagnostics, to therapies and vaccines, and the design and manufacturer of next generation devices. The multidisciplinary capabilities available on campus enable the cluster to innovate in cellular and structural biology, pharmacology, big data, advanced materials, and more.
To find out more you can visit the Harwell website, where you will find a short video explaining the work of the cluster and outlining some of the areas Diamond and other members are involved in.
