Building on the last few year’s successes, we are again celebrating our busiest year to date with the team working hard on a wide range of client projects, including as first industrial users on beamline VMXm along with our client. We are delighted to announce that to complement our range of life science research solutions, we have recently launched crystallisation services. Closely aligned with our macromolecular crystallography and cryo-electron microscopy services, the new crystallisation services provide a complete pipeline for structural biology from crystal to structural analysis. The crystallisation services are ideal for start-up companies, negating the need for a large upfront investment of in-house equipment and expertise; for clients who have only just started to expand their research activities to membrane protein targets, and for busy teams from pharmaceutical or biotech companies who require additional resource or support. Diamond and Johnson Matthey, a global leader in sustainable technologies, also announced a new five-year agreement to continue their collaboration in world-class microscopy at the UK’s pioneering electron Physical Science Imaging Centre (ePSIC). Johnson Matthey will upgrade their electron microscope with a new spectrometer, providing enhanced localised compositional and speciation information when analysing materials at the atomic scale, especially for platinum group metals. This latest investment complements the advanced technologies available to researchers at ePSIC and offers scientists unrivalled research facilities. The ILO team have also welcomed the opportunity to attend conferences, meeting collaborators and clients across a wide range of events. Please keep an eye on our website and social media to find out where to meet us next. Diamond continues to support our industrial clients across a wide range of techniques and facilities with experiments ranging from routine analysis to complex bespoke solutions. Please do not hesitate to contact us on industry@ diamond.ac.uk to discuss your analytical needs, we’d be happy to help.
