Group Visits

While our public open days offer the best access to the synchrotron we are aware that it may be more practical for some of you to visit as part of arranged general interest groups (for example societies, clubs, U3A etc). As such it is possible to book group visits to Diamond.

These visits take a similar form to our Inside Diamond events, consisting of a talk (approx. 45 mins) and a tour (approx. 1 hour), but are exclusively for groups of up to 20 people. We hold one of these events a month, they are held on weekday evenings and you can book ahead as far as you like. Visit start times are between 16:00 and 18:30 and we can be fairly flexible with regards to dates.

We do ask that you bring a minimum of 10 guests and a maximum of 20. If any of your guests have any special requirements that you think may be an issue (mobility/hearing etc) then please do check with us.

Please note that these events are likely to take place while we are operational, and so the areas of the facility we visit may be different to those on the open days.
